We know now, after the weekend, that Alan Moran from Foxford prefers to move on, forget the past, and seize the first opportunity to get back on top of the podium. On Saturday last Moran, his navigator John Burke, and their hard working service crew led by James McGreal and Sean McHugh made the trip north to the seventh and final round of the 2015 Valvoline Motorsport Ireland National Forestry Championship, the Mid-Antrim Motor Club's Glens of Antrim Rally.

A kick in the dark — 1,500 registered for Galway Night Run

The Revive Active inaugural Galway Night Run on tomorrow night has attracted over 1,500 entrants.  The run which is taking place this Friday on The Prom at 8pm has seen remarkable entries from all across the west coast. The 5km route will take participants along Galway Bay, beginning and ending at Mutton Island. 

Executive Helicopters says choppers are transport of choice for many islands

Executive Helicopters have released a statement to address the ongoing issue regarding air transport to and from the Aran Islands. The company says helicopters are already the mainstay and air transport of choice to many offshore islands in open ocean conditions and give the example of the Tory Island service off Donegal coast, which has been operating since 1985 and is part-funded by the Department of the Gaeltacht.
